Dr. Andrew Jay, Head of the HealthCare Fund at Siemens Venture Capital
Dr. Andrew Jay is the Head of the HealthCare Fund at Siemens Venture Capital, which invests globally in imaging and diagnostic technologies. Since initiating the Fund in late 2002, his team has closed and exited multiple investments including Sequenom, USystems, Viewray and Zonare.
Dr. Jay previously was an I.I. ranked medical technology analyst for Deutsche Bank. He published over 10,000 pages of research on imaging, orthopedics, cardiovascular, vision, diabetes, diagnostics and neurologic devices. He was instrumental in raising over $2 billion in equity capital, and bringing over 20 companies public. He was frequently interviewed in the financial press including the Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, CNN and MSNBC.
He has an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern, a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Outside of the office Andrew founded the Massachusetts Oyster Project, a non-profit that has re-introduced water cleansing oysters into Boston Harbor after an absence of 50 years. Michael Yuz, MD, MBA, Chief Executive Officer
Michael is a founder of USARAD Holdings, Inc. and currently serves as its CEO and Executive Radiologist. Michael is a serial entrepreneur with extensive leadership and business background spanning all of his career, starting his first business at the age 14. Michael trained at several preeminent institutions including New York University and Thomas Jefferson. He received MBA degree in Healthcare from the prestigious George Washington University dedicating his studies towards evolving field of telemedicine / telehealth.

Michael is a double boarded diagnostic radiologist, with extensive training and experience in multiple advanced modalities including MRI and Cardiac CT. He has held positions as Chief Radiologist in a large private radiology group, and was Director of a Cardiovascular CT laboratory at a private imaging center along with being the head medical instructor for a Cardiovascular and Body Section program during a teaching residency program.

Michael became fascinated with technology, internet, medicine and business at a very early age, a reason why he first chose to become a radiologist, the most technologically dependent medical specialty. He has acquired, invested into and traded many top domain names and has invested into biotech companies. Over the years, he started from scratch several successful internet related technologies and companies, including (teleradiology) and (automated radiology second opinion portal). He owns a distinct IP including domain names, trademarks, internet/technology platform with multiple patents pending.


Sean Casey, MD, Chairman and General Partner, Omphalos Ventures
Sean's career in business started in 1998 as a member of the medical advisory board of Vital Images, Inc., a Minnesota based provider of 3-D visualization software applications. In 2001, Sean founded Virtual Radiologic Corporation (NASDAQ: VRAD) and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. From 2001 to 2008, Sean grew Virtual Radiologic Corporation from a small home office based company, to one that generated over $100 million in annual revenue, provided patient care to over 1,000 hospitals, clinics and emergency rooms trough out the United States, and employed over 300 physicians and employees. In 2007 Sean completed a successful Initial Public Offering for VRAD with Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch, and was also named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. In July 2010, Virtual Radiologic Corporation was sold for $294 million to Providence Equity Partners.
Dr. Casey is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. An American Board of Radiology - certified radiologist, Dr. Casey was a pioneer in the clinical use of cerebral CT angiography and venography, as well as other 3-D post processing applications.
